Optical Center:
It has excellent Optical Center quality, it is light and it is very affordable for most companies. this is the standard lens that they are using. but then they offer upgraded materials from the cr39 lens and most often the lens materials. that you’ll have options to include Work called polycarbonate trivet. And what high index lenses, polycarbonate lenses. or Polycarp lenses are a soft plastic type of material now. because of the way they’re made with glasses lenses. They are not shatterproof, but they are more shatter-resistant. which is usually recommended for somebody who is in, like a construction. job high risk for any sort of eye injury or for children. who are more prone to accidents and breaking their glasses.
Optical Center Polycarp lenses:
We don’t want the lenses to shatter, and then get the shards of glass or hard plastic into the eye. Polycarp lenses also offer an innate up light protection of about 99. to about a hundred percent protection from sunlight. and they also are usually thinner and lighter than cr39 plastic. But, polycarbonate does have a rather low abbey value. which means that they’ll have more aberrations. Looking from the sides of the lenses. if you have a high prescription and you look off to the side of a Polycarp lens. you might see these color distortions such as yellow or blue kind of fading off to the distance. Most people don’t notice those sorts of Color distortions, but I have had a few people on this channel. Ask about that, so I wanted to shed some light on the subject.
Optical Center Lens:
The only other thing about polycarbonate lenses. that you should watch out for is that. even though they are more shatter-resistant, they are softer plastic. so they are usually easier to scratch. So if you’re getting a polycarbonate lens to recommend. you get some sort of anti-scratch coating put on those lenses, and then we have a lens called trivet. It does have some advantages. over polycarbonate, it is lighter and has better optical quality. than Polycarp, and it has fewer aberrations than the polycarbonate lens. So I like to think of it as an upgraded kind of better version of polycarbonate plus. A fun fact is that when you’re grinding and making these lenses for glasses, trivet lenses smell bad.
Optical Center Glasses Lens:
So if you want to punish the person who is making your glasses lenses go ahead and order trivet lenses. now high index, lenses refer to the lens’s ability to refract light, meaning that if you have a higher index, such as a 1. 74 lenses, You need less lens material to get the same effect, and that makes your lenses thinner and lighter. and a huge pro tip here is that if you have a high glasses prescription, such as a -2 or higher for nearsightedness. Then get something like a high index. But, high index lenses do also have more reflections coming off the surface of the lens. so I recommend that you end up investing in the best anti-reflective for those lenses that you can get. So the big question today that I want to pass off to you is which one of these glasses lenses do, you think. would be best for you and your prescription.
